What Does “Worry for Wonder” Mean?

The purpose of this blog is to supply encouragement along the journey of life for those who struggle against anxiety and/or depression.  The reason I say “struggle against” is because none of us WANT this struggle, so we want to actively work against it.

Worry is sin.  It bankrupts the spirit, it sabotages our day, it creates an atmosphere of distrust and discontentment.  Wonder, on the other hand, is an attitude of gratitude, seeing things simply, using our imagination to seek God rather than picturing the worst.

Next time you have a worry or fear thought, instead of saying “I’m worried about this,” try saying to yourself, “I wonder how God is going to come through in this situation?”  Try consciously saying that for a day, every time you have a worry though, and see the difference it makes in your attitude.

Until next time,

Jacklyn

About Me

Hi, I’m Jacklyn! This blog has been a safe place for me to process my journey from a single 20-something, to now a 30-something wife and mother. Every day I am choosing to exchange my worry for wonder, and I hope to share a glimpse of that journey to bless your own.
